02. EMPLOYEE BACKGROUND CHECKS
GSM policies require pre-employment background checks. Driving records and other background checks may be required, based on the position and job requirements. GSM may also contact references and verify information provided by applicants. Further background checks may be required for applicants applying for positions handling or in charge of money. Applicants sign a consent form to enable GSM to obtain the necessary background checks. A felony conviction does not automatically preclude employment. Recommendations will be considered depending upon the situation and type of position being filled. The Executive Director will make the final decision. GSM may require semi-annual background checks.
03. EMPLOYMENT APPLICATIONS
GSM relies upon the accuracy of information contained in the employment application as well as the accuracy of other data presented throughout the hiring process and employment. Any misrepresentations, falsifications, or material omissions in any of this information or data may result in the exclusion of the individual from further consideration for employment with GSM or, if the person has been hired, termination of employment.
